Gordon’s Vite E Cream is a vitamin enriched moisturizer for a variety of dry skin conditions. It has been designed as a hypoallergenic cream for sensitive skin and postsurgical use. Gordon’s Vite E Cream revitalizes the skin tissue with the natural healing agent of Vitamin E in a high potency formulation (1,500 IU/oz.) that is readily absorbed into the skin. Gordon’s Vite E Cream may aid in wound healing (anti-scarring). PHARMACOLOGY: Significant evidence shows that Vitamin E Acetate, when topically applied, can play an important role in the war against premature skin aging. It plays a crucial role in protecting body cells and tissues from damage caused by free radicals which are generated by natural body processes and environmental stresses. Vitamin E slows down the conversion of soluble collagen into insoluble collagen. It helps block lipid peroxidation (which could be responsible for cell membrane damage in tissues) through its in vivo antioxidant function. Vitamin E moisturizes skin from within, improves skin smoothness, helps enhance the performance of UV blocking skin care products, and protects superoxide dismutase (SOD).
